Understanding the components
Elvi consists of a wall dock, a charging station, and a charging cable, and can be complemented with a cable dock or a pole mount. Elvi is designed with rugged high-impact strength plastics that make it’s housing durable, shockproof, weatherproof and colorfast.
Wall Dock: The Wall Dock contains all the terminals to install the charging station and connect it with the power grid. Optionally, it can include an MID certified digital kWh meter (Modbus) for energy consumption tracking and billing purposes.
Charging Station: Elvi is connected to the internet via a built-in Dual Band WiFi connection or via an optional UMTS modem. Start and stop your charging session with your charge card, key fob, or remotely via the app.
Online connected versions of Elvi talk Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP) to your back end. Elvi comes with the required electrical security provisions built in, such as AC/DC fault detection and protection.
Charging Cable: Elvi’s charging cable is compatible with all types of electric vehicles that can handle capacities from 3.7kW up to 22kW. Electric drivers need to select a charging cable/plug that is compatible with their car.
Cable Dock: The cable dock (sold separately, article No.290135) secures the cable in its position when Elvi is not in use.
